Any person who voluntarily and knowingly owns a motor vehicle whose original design has been altered for the purpose of keeping or concealing illegal weapons shall be guilty of a fourth degree felony and upon conviction shall be punished by imprisonment from six (6) months and one (1) day and three (3) years. It shall be understood as a 'motor vehicle' those defined in § 5001(101) of Title 9, known as the 'Puerto Rico Vehicle and Traffic Act'.
