COMPAS shall have the following main objectives:(1) Identify and outline comprehensive strategies in order to provide greater protection and security to the citizenry.(2) Interagency coordination of anticrime projects with the participating municipalities, in order for the same to be more effective.(3) Achieve the establishment of joint work plans in order to maximize resources and prevent the duplication of functions or that adversely affect the objectives, goals and strategies of another government entity.(4) Strengthen citizen participation strategies to provide training tools to attain crime prevention goals, as well as establish security and protection mechanisms.
