The Superintendent of Police is hereby authorized to accept, receive and dispose of any donation of funds and assets, contributions, transfers and conveyances made to the Police for the purposes consigned in this chapter. The provisions of §§ 1101 et seq. of Title 3 shall not apply in the acceptance of donations by the Police, by virtue of the provisions of this chapter.\nHistory —Dec. 7, 1989, No. 16, p. 574, § 2.
