(a) This Code shall apply throughout the territory of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It shall also be applicable to all persons subject to same while they are serving outside Puerto Rico and while they are going to and returning from such service outside Puerto Rico in the same manner and to the same extent as if they were serving within Puerto Rico.\n(b) Courts-martial and courts of inquiry may be convened and held in units of the Military Forces of Puerto Rico while those units are serving outside the territory of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico with the same jurisdiction and powers as to persons subject to this Code, as if the proceedings were held within the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and offenses committed outside Puerto Rico may be tried and punished either within or outside Puerto Rico.\nHistory —June 23, 1969, No. 62, p. 117, § 403, eff. 90 days after June 23, 1969.
