(a) Military apprehension is the taking of a person into custody.\n(b) Any person authorized by this Code or by the regulations promulgated thereunder to apprehend persons subject to this Code or to be tried thereunder, any marshal of a court-martial appointed pursuant to the provisions of this Code, and any peace officer may do so upon reasonable belief that an offense has been committed and that the person apprehended committed it.\n(c) Commissioned officers, warrant officers and noncommissioned officers shall have authority to quell mutinies, breach of the peace, quarrels, frays and disorders among persons subject to this Code and to apprehend persons subject to this Code who take part therein.\nHistory —June 23, 1969, No. 62, p. 117, § 500, eff. 90 days after June 23, 1969.
