Any civil officer having authority to apprehend offenders under the laws of the United States of America or of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or of any state, District of Columbia, territory or possession may summarily apprehend a deserter from the Military Forces of Puerto Rico and deliver him into its custody. If an offender is apprehended outside Puerto Rico, his return to the area must be in accordance with normal extradition procedures or reciprocal agreement.\nHistory —June 23, 1969, No. 62, p. 117, § 501, eff. 90 days after June 23, 1969.
