For purposes of §§ 389a-389c of this title, the words and phrases used herein shall have the following meanings:(a) Automated blood analyzer.— Refers to a fully automated or semi-automated device used to perform complete blood counts.(b) Hematologist-Oncologist.— Refers to a physician that specializes in hematology-oncology, and who is duly certified by the Puerto Rico Medical Licensing and Disciplinary Board.(c) Complete blood count.— Refers to the blood test commonly known as a CBC, which provides detailed information on the different types of cells found in the blood, specifically red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
