Any person who directly or indirectly gives, pays, or offers to any inspector, assistant inspector, chief inspector, or to any other officer, employee or agent of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, authorized to carry out any of the duties prescribed by this chapter or by the regulations of the Secretary, a sum of money or anything of value with the intention of exercising influence with said inspector, assistant inspector, chief inspector or any other officer, employee or agent of the Commonwealth, to dissuade him from fulfilling any duty herein provided, shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction shall be punished in accordance with the Penal Code of Puerto Rico, and if convicted will entail dismissal from office.
