On the fifth (5th) day of each month, the keeper of the Register shall forward to the Secretary of Health all the original certificates registered by him during the preceding month, as well as the original of any certificate of a back date which may be in his possession, and if in any one month no certificate shall have been registered, he shall make a report to that effect, which report he shall likewise forward to the Secretary of Health on the fifth (5th) day of the following month; Provided, That in cases of epidemics or of excessive mortality for any cause, or for legal, legislative or public-health purposes, the Secretary of Health may require any keeper of the Register to send the certificates and reports more frequently.\nHistory —Apr. 22, 1931, No. 24, p. 228, § 36, eff. 90 days after Apr. 22, 1931.
