Every cemetery at present existing, or which may be established in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, shall have a plan showing the authorized graves therein. Said graves shall be numbered consecutively and the keeper of the cemetery shall keep a register of burials in which he shall set forth the date of each burial and the number of the grave corresponding thereto, as provided in § 1110 of this title.\nThe cemeteries already existing shall adapt themselves to the provisions of this section in a term of not more than ninety (90) days after the taking effect of this act; Provided, That in case any municipality should not comply with the provisions of this section, the Secretary of Health shall be empowered to prepare the plan and establish the register for account of the funds of the municipality, notifying the Secretary of the Treasury of Puerto Rico so that he may retain from the municipal funds in question the amount used for said purposes.\nHistory —Apr. 22, 1931, No. 24, p. 228, § 39, eff. 90 days after Apr. 22, 1931.
