The Secretary of the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration is hereby empowered to investigate any violation of a criminal or administrative nature to this chapter when said violations are related to the manufacture, distribution, dispensing and delivery of any controlled substance included in Classifications II, III, IV and V of this chapter and those regarding substances controlled in Class I, when, in connection to the same, a certificate of inspection has been issued to conduct investigations with said substances.Upon delegation of the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration, all inspectors of controlled substances shall have the faculties corresponding to a public peace officer, which include among others: the faculty to have, possess, bear, transport and carry firearms under the provisions of §§ 455—460j of Title 25 known as the 'Weapons Law of Puerto Rico'; the faculty to make arrests, to enforce and serve search warrants and summons; the faculty to seize property, according to the provisions of § 2512 of this title, and the faculty to take oaths and sworn statements.
