The Secretary of the Department of Health shall create and keep a Casket Register in which each casket built in Puerto Rico or imported, acquired, or otherwise traded for use in Puerto Rico shall be registered with a serial number. Any casket that is transported to Puerto Rico holding human remains for interment or cremation shall be included therein.\nEvery casket shall bear the serial number under which it was recorded in the Casket Register, and said serial number shall be rendered permanent, as provided through regulations by the Secretary of the Department of Health.\nHistory —Sept. 15, 2012, No. 258, § 6.03.
