(a) The Committee shall meet at least once each month. The Coordinator shall have the responsibility of summoning the members of the Committee to participate in said meetings.\n(b) Once constituted, the Committee shall determine which factors are affecting the infant mortality rate.\n(c) Based on the input obtained in the preliminary stage of the research, the Committee shall prepare an 'Action Plan for the Reduction of the Infant Mortality Rate' before the end of the 1997 calendar year. However, said Committee shall be permanent in nature in order to take any necessary action for the implementation of the 'Action Plan for the Reduction of the Infant Mortality Rate.\n(d) The Committee shall have the responsibility of remitting a copy of the Action Plan it adopts, to the Governor and the Legislature of Puerto Rico, and shall also implement it.\nHistory —Aug. 11, 1997, No. 70, § 2.
