A public corporation to be known as the 'Center for Diabetes Research, Education and Medical Services', henceforth 'Center', is hereby created by this chapter. This Center, to be directed by a Board of Directors, shall function as an independent entity separate from any other agency or instrumentality of the Government of Puerto Rico.\nHistory —Aug. 12, 2000, No. 166, § 2, retroactive to July 1, 2000.
