The Human Bodies, Organs and Tissues Disposition Board is hereby created, attached to the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus in order to obtain cadavers for the use of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and to contribute to the advancement of medicine and surgery in Puerto Rico; and to regulate the donation of cadavers or parts thereof or living organs to particular donees. The donations of the whole cadaver of parts thereof or organs for a living transplant may only be accepted for clinical autopsies or to be used for the purpose to further the progress of medical science and annex branches, for teaching or for the transplant and rehabilitation of sick, impaired or degenerated parts or tissues of the human body. This Board shall also be empowered to designate one (1) or more committees, each one of these to be composed of three (3) or more committees which shall have and may exercise the powers of the Board that are delegated to them.
