Family members of the adult who receives mental health services shall be treated with respect and dignity. Family members shall have the opportunity to provide information to the professionals in charge of the treatment. They shall also receive educational information related to the nature of the disorders, medications and their side effects, support services available and support groups, as well as assistance in crisis management strategies.
