Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter or its regulations shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, if convicted, shall be punished with a term of imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months or with a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or with both penalties at the discretion of the court.
