The employment of force, violence, intimidation or menace, or any form of coercion, by any person or by persons associated together, against any other person or persons, whether with the object of preventing them from freely pursuing their employments, professions or trades or whether with the object of influencing the price or remuneration paid for their work, shall be a misdemeanor, and any person convicted thereof shall be imprisoned not less than thirty (30) days nor more than one year, or fined not less than ten dollars ($10) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both fined and imprisoned.
