Any person who violates §§ 564—574 of this title or any section or provision hereof or any rule or regulation issued hereunder shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less than three hundred dollars ($300) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in jail for a term of not less than thirty (30) days nor more than ninety (90) days, or by both penalties, in the discretion of the court. For all cases comprised within clauses (17) and (18) of subsection (a) of § 567 of this title, the penalty shall consist of a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisonment in jail for a term of not less than thirty (30) days nor more than ninety (90) days, or both penalties, in the discretion of the court.
