(a) Criminal.— Any violation of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor and carry a maximum fine of five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisonment for a maximum of six (6) months, or both penalties at the discretion of the court.(b) Civil.— Any person or organization who violates the provisions of this chapter shall also be liable under the applicable legislation, and shall also be liable for the costs, expenses and interest and attorney’s fees incurred during the proceedings. For that purpose, the ordinary civil proceeding or a summary proceeding mechanisms for salary claims may be used as provided in §§ 3118—3132 of Title 32. History —July 22, 1992, No. 26, § 5.
