The following terms as used in this chapter shall have the meaning indicated hereunder:(a) Office.— Shall mean the Puerto Rican Veterans Advocate’s Office created in § 823b of this title.(b) Advocate.— Shall mean the 'Veterans Advocate' who shall be in charge of directing the Puerto Rican Veterans Advocate’s Office.(c) Public agency.— Shall mean any department, board, commission, office, division, bureau, public corporation or any subsidiary thereof, municipality or instrumentality of the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and any official or employee thereof in the performance of his official duties.(d) Veteran.— Shall mean any bona fide resident of Puerto Rico who has served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and has been honorably discharged.(e) Private interests.— Shall mean a private person, professional groups, private corporation, non-government entity or partnership.
