(a) For the payment of this subsidy which the Department of Agriculture shall make to the sugarcane growers, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Agriculture, from unencumbered funds in the Commonwealth Treasury, the amount of two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) for the fiscal year 1976—77. The appropriations for the subsequent fiscal years shall be included in the corresponding budget that the Governor of Puerto Rico recommends annually to the Legislature.\n(b) The Secretary is hereby authorized to use up to three and a half percent (3.5%) of the funds appropriated to cover the administrative expenses incurred in the execution of the provisions of this chapter.\nHistory —May 30, 1976, No. 92, p. 271, § 6.
