The municipality shall administer everything concerning the employee’s working hours, working day, and attendance, according to the regulations it adopts. The regular working day shall not exceed eight (8) hours a day nor forty (40) hours a week. Every employee shall be granted one hour to partake of food during his/her regular working day.\nWhen employees render services in excess of their working day or week, on their days of rest on any holiday, or on any day that services are suspended by municipal ordinance, they shall be entitled to receive compensatory leave at a rate of time and a half or payment in cash, as provided in the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
