The purpose of the tourism improvement districts shall be to create a mechanism to finance, acquire, dispose of, plan, design, develop, build, own, operate, maintain, manage, market, improve and promote improvement projects, and any other related projects or services, as described in greater detail in, and subject to the provisions of this chapter and the municipal ordinance authorizing the creation of the tourism improvement district or the imposts charged on benefits or profits.\nHistory —Aug. 8, 1998, No. 207, § 1.005, eff. 60 days after Aug. 8, 1998.
