A public corporation is hereby created as an instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, under the name of Public Broadcasting Corporation for Puerto Rico. The Corporation shall exist in perpetuity with a juridical personality that is independent and separate from any other entity, agency, department or instrumentality of the Government of Puerto Rico and shall be governed by a Board of Directors. June 30, 1996, is established as the date on which the Public Broadcasting Corporation for Puerto Rico shall cease to be a subsidiary of the Telephone Authority.
