Insurance contracts procured as surplus line coverage from unauthorized insurers in accordance with this chapter shall be fully valid and enforceable as to all parties, and shall be given recognition in all matters and respects and for all purposes to the same effect as like contracts issued by authorized insurers. As to any such contract the insurer shall be deemed to be an authorized insurer in Puerto Rico, but shall be subject to the provisions of this chapter only.\nHistory —Ins. Code § 10.100.
