No insurer who has issued a reimbursement insurance policy shall cancel or refuse to renew the policy, unless he/she hands or sends a notice to such effect, at least sixty (60) days prior to the date that said cancellation or non-renewal becomes effective. A copy of the cancellation or non-renewal notice shall also be sent to the Commissioner, so that he may determine the subsequent compliance by the provider of the provisions of this subchapter. The termination of a reimbursement insurance policy shall not, in any way, affect the liability of the insurer for service contracts issued prior to the cancellation or non-renewal date.\nHistory —Ins.
