All proceedings in which the insolvent insurer is a party in any court of Puerto Rico, shall be stayed for a term of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date an order for liquidation, rehabilitation or conservation is final in order to allow the Association to take the corresponding legal action with regard to matters germane to its powers and duties. With respect to judgments by default under any decision, order, verdict or finding, the Association may request the same court that rendered said judgment to set it aside, and that it be allowed to present a defense of the suit on its merits.\nHistory —Ins.
