All insurers, health services organizations organized pursuant to §§ 1901–1927 of this title, and nonprofit organizations, organized under §§ 41 et seq. of Title 6, who underwrite health insurance services in Puerto Rico, are hereby directed to design and adopt a uniform billing system to be used by them in billing for the rendering of medical-hospital services and dispensing prescription medications.\nHistory —Aug. 10, 1997, No. 61, § 1.
