(a)\n(1) A limited health service organization organized under the laws of Puerto Rico shall be deemed to be a domestic insurer for purposes of insurance holding companies regulations, unless specifically exempted in writing from one (1) or more of the provisions of such regulations by the Commissioner.\n(2) A limited health service organization shall be subject to the provisions of §§ 2701 et seq. of this title.\n(b) The provision of limited health services by a limited health service organization shall not be deemed to be the practice of medicine or other healing arts.\nHistory —Aug. 29, 2011, No. 194, added as § 16.110 on Aug. 23, 2012, No. 203, § 2, eff. 90 days after Aug. 23, 2012.
