(a) State Road PR-693, within the municipal boundaries of Dorado, is hereby designated with the name of Puerto Rican golf player Juan 'Chi Chí' Rodríguez, in recognition of his career in said sport and his contribution to charitable causes. This designation is hereby exempt from the provisions of §§ 178 et seq. of this title, known as the 'Public Structures and Highways Naming Commission Act'.(b) The Department of Transportation and Public Works is hereby exempt from the provisions of §§ 178 et seq. of this title, known as the 'Public Structures and Highways Naming Commission Act'.(c) The Department of Transportation and Public Works shall hold an activity to place the sign in State Road PR-693 in the Municipality of Dorado for purposes of designating said road in accordance with subsection (a) of this section.
