Any professional who voluntarily or through gross negligence gives false information; or the design of the work does not comply with the law and regulations; or indicates facts, or dimensions that are not true or correct; or supplies false information or facts to the agency; or withholds information when submitting a certificate in order to have the endorsement or approval issued to him, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, a fine of not less than six hundred dollars ($ 600), nor more than one thousand dollars ($ 1,000), or imprisonment for a term of not more than six (6) months, or both penalties, shall be imposed at the discretion of the court. The court shall also have discretion to establish, in view of the offense, the term during which said person shall be barred from submitting certifications for the purposes of §§ 73—73 l of this title.If the person is convicted of the offense established herein more than once, he shall be barred permanently from submitting certifications for the purposes of §§ 73—73 l of this title.
