The Planning Board shall, as it completes the various sections of said map showing the boundaries of a municipality and its barrios, send a copy of said section to the respective mayor and municipal legislature for their approval. The municipal legislature, if necessary, and considering the term hereinafter fixed for such action, shall hold such special sessions as may be necessary, which shall be called by the mayor.If the municipal legislature takes action on said map, the same shall be adopted as approved thereby, but if said municipal body does not take any action on it within the term of ninety (90) days after receipt by the mayor and by the chairman of said municipal legislature, it shall be understood that the municipal legislature agrees with and approves said section as prepared by the Planning Board, except in cases of controversies between adjacent municipalities over their respective boundaries.
