It is hereby resolved and declared that the purposes for which the Corporation is created and any subsidiary corporations thereby organized, and the activities which the Corporation and its subsidiaries may develop, must be for public purposes and activities and for the general benefit of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Therefore, the properties and activities of the Corporation and any subsidiaries thereby organized, or which may be organized in the future, under the provisions of this chapter, shall be exempt from the payment of any tariffs, duties or imposts, commonwealth or municipal, as well as from any taxes, except property taxes.The Corporation shall also be exempt from the payment of every judicial prosecution procedure, from the issuance of certificates in all offices of the Commonwealth and from the granting and registering of any public document in any public registry.
