The Autonomous Municipality of Ponce shall determine which municipal property shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Port of Ponce Authority, and shall authorize and direct the granting and transfer of said property to the Port of Ponce Authority under the terms and conditions set forth by the municipality, taking into consideration that the transfer of municipal properties to the Authority shall enable the development of the Port of the Americas as a project for the economic development of both the Southern Region and Puerto Rico.
