Any person who in any way hinders, obstructs or delays the work of the Administrator, of the Chief, of the supervisors, technicians and of the officials of the Division of Weights and Measures in the performance of their official duties shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof by a competent court shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment in jail for a term of not more than six (6) months, or by both penalties in the discretion of the court.
