It is hereby provided that every agency, entity, and instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, municipality, and public corporation that is required to comply with the provisions of §§ 9011 et seq. of this title, better known as the 'Puerto Rico Permit Process Reform Act', shall have the duty and responsibility to comply with and facilitate compliance with the provisions of this chapter, as well as the provisions prescribed by the Permit Management Office through regulations, circular letter, or administrative order. Every agency, entity, and instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, municipality, and public corporation that issues licenses, certifications, permits, authorizations, or documents required to operate or engage in the commercial activity of any business, trade, or industry shall also comply with said duty and responsibility.\nThe provisions of this chapter shall also apply to autonomous municipalities that by virtue of the provisions of §§ 4601—4627 and 4651—4663 of Title 21, known as the 'Autonomous Municipalities Act of Puerto Rico', have been granted or are in the process of being granted by the Permit Management Office and/or the Planning Board

Municipalities shall continue to issue determinations in accordance with the procedures established for such purposes by mayors and Municipal Legislatures through the Permit Office or Directorates created at the municipal level to carry out such task, but shall revise their regulations and procedures to conform them to the provisions of this chapter.\nEvery agency, entity, and instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, municipality, and public corporation has the ongoing duty to provide the Permit Management Office with any information or document, in printed, digital, or any other format, as is necessary to exercise the powers and carry out the duties entrusted to such agency under this chapter.\nHistory —Dec. 16, 2014, No. 216, § 7.
