Each tract of land shall be made liable only for its proportionate share of taxes determined as herein provided. In case any tract of land shall become subdivided, each subdivision shall be liable only for the proportionate amount of taxes thereafter assessable on it, considered as a separate tract. In case of any such subdivision of land entitled to credits for water rights, such credits shall be divided among the tracts into which the original tract is subdivided in proportion to the area of each subdivision.
