Owing to the nature of the work now being performed, or to be performed hereafter, by the Irrigation Service, and in order not to render the work of the said Irrigation Service ineffective or unduly difficult and expensive, it is hereby provided that 'An Act to establish the duration of the official working day', approved March 10, 1904, shall be held not to apply to work performed by the employees of the said Irrigation Service.
