Subject to the conditions established in §§ 265—270 of this title, the lands to be included in the additional irrigation district shall enjoy the right to the use of water of the irrigation system which is hereby assigned to said lands, with the same privileges, obligations and limitations established with respect to the lands included in the present irrigation district under the provisions of § 256 of this title, said § 256 of this title being, therefore, applicable to the additional irrigation district insofar as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of §§ 265—270 of this title.
