For the purposes of this chapter, the terms expressed hereinbelow shall have the following meaning:(a) Program. — Means the Commonwealth’s Program of Inspection and Regulation of Dams and Reservoirs.(b) Unit. — Means the Unit of Inspection and Regulation of Dam and Reservoir Safety of the Electric Power Authority.(c) Dam. — Means an artificial barrier which, together with its appurtenant works, is constructed for the purpose of retaining, storing or diverting water or any other liquid or semiliquid, and whose elevation exceeds twenty-five (25) feet from the natural ceiling of the body of water or the ground’s natural level.(d) Reservoir. — Means an artificial pond where the waters of a river or a stream, or rainfall are stored and which exceeds a volume of fifty (50) acre-feet.
