The members of the Board, including those who are public officials or employees, shall be entitled to per diems of fifty dollars ($50) for each day or fraction thereof in which they render services to the Board, and to travel expenses, as provided in the regulations of the Department of the Treasury of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. As of January 1, 1997, the members of the Board shall receive per diems equal to the minimum per diem that § 29 of Title 2 establishes for members of the Legislature for their attendance to committee sessions or meetings and to any special session or meeting held by a committee, or other entity, and for the performance of any task entrusted by the Chairperson of the Board to which they belong, except for those members who are heads of agencies of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its instrumentalities; with the exception of the Chairperson of the Board, who shall receive per diems equal to one hundred and thirty-three percent (133%) of the per diems received by the other members of the Board.\nHistory —June 3, 1983, No. 77, p. 160, § 10; Dec. 20, 1991, No. 110, § 3; Aug. 4, 1996, No. 101, § 1, eff. 60 days after Aug. 4, 1996.
