The Board shall issue a license as speech-language pathologist, audiologist or speech-language therapist to the person who meets the requirements established in § 3112 of this title. The license must be displayed to the public in the place of work of the person who has obtained it. The speech-language therapist shall perform his work under the direct instruction and supervision of the speech-language pathologist duly licensed by the Board and shall conduct screening tests for the identification and referral of children up to the age of twenty-one (21) years; he shall also carry out the treatment plan designed by the speech-language pathologist and shall assist in speech-language problem prevention and orientation activities. The work performed by a duly licensed speech-language therapist does not include those procedures that are the specialty and are appropriate to the speech-language pathologist, neither may the speech-language therapist evaluate a patient clinically, nor plan or evaluate the treatment to be administered.\nHistory —June 3, 1983, No. 77, p. 160, § 15.
