The Board may establish reciprocity agreements with state commonwealths, and territorial jurisdictions of the United States, that regulate the practice of counseling by an agreement with them, if the Board enters into a reciprocity agreement with its homologous body in said jurisdiction. The agreement shall specify that the Board will grant the license to any person who holds a professional counselor license from another qualifying jurisdiction, if the person has completed an equal or greater number of requirements to obtain the same. The Board shall not grant a license by reciprocity to a petitioner who is under investigation in another geographic jurisdiction for being accused of an action that could constitute a violation of this chapter, until such investigation has been concluded and the Board determines that it can be granted.\nHistory —Aug. 9, 2002, No. 147, § 13.
