The Board shall issue a provisional license to practice under medical supervision and the supervision of a licensed respiratory care technician to every person who requests and is admitted to an examination for the first time.\nThe provisional license shall be canceled after six (6) months have elapsed since it was issued, but may be renewed for a maximum of two (2) times. In order to be entitled to this, the candidate shall be bound to take the examination at least once a year in consecutive terms.\nThe Board may excuse the candidate from taking the examination consecutively whenever there are intervening circumstances that warrant it.\nHistory —June 4, 1987, No. 24, p. 69, § 15.
