The Board is hereby authorized to establish, through the conditions and requirements that it deems necessary and convenient, the reciprocity relations regarding the granting of a license without an examination, directly with the states or territories of the United States, or with any other foreign country that has requirements for the obtention of a respiratory care technician’s license similar to those established by this chapter, and in which an equal concession is provided for those licensed by this Board. This license shall be for a term of one (1) year, and may be extended for an additional year. If these technicians wish to continue practicing in Puerto Rico indefinitely, they must obtain a regular license as established in this chapter.\nHistory —June 4, 1987, No. 24, p. 69, § 17.
