In addition to the other powers, duties and responsibilities provided in this chapter, the Board shall have the following [sic]:\n(a) Authorize the practice of the emergency medical technician profession in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, pursuant to the provisions of this measure and the regulations adopted by virtue thereof.\n(b) Deny, suspend, cancel, or renew any license as provided in this measure.\n(c) Establish through regulations the eligibility criteria for the revalidation examination, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.\n(d) Prepare, revise and administer practical and theoretical revalidation examinations for the different levels of the emergency medical technician certification at least twice a year. The subject matter of the examination shall be based on the national curricula established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT.)\n(e) Establish through regulations the requirements and mechanisms needed for the recertification of emergency medical technicians every three (3) years.\n(f) Examine all documents furnished by every applicant to verify if they meet the requirements of this chapter and all additional requirements required by regulations.\n(g)

ns every three (3) years.\n(f) Examine all documents furnished by every applicant to verify if they meet the requirements of this chapter and all additional requirements required by regulations.\n(g) Establish through regulations the continuing education requirements needed for the recertification of EMT-P’s and EMT-B’s.\n(h) Establish a register of licenses issued with their number, name and date of issue, expiration date and certification level, which shall be revised every three (3) years.\n(i) Settle claims filed for violations to the provisions of this chapter or the regulations promulgated by virtue thereof.\n(j) Require the Secretary of Justice, through the Secretary of Health, to institute, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, those civil and criminal procedures that are necessary to comply with the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of §§ 2101 et seq. of Title 3, known as the 'Uniform Administrative Procedure Act of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico'.\n(k) Establish through regulations, the requirements to issue licenses by reciprocity with those states whose minimum requirements are similar or equivalent to those of the Department of Health pursuant to
