[Every person who aspires to obtain a paramedic or basic emergency medical technicians license, shall comply with the following requirements:]\n(a) Complete the application for examination on the form provided by the Board.\n(b) Recent 2′′ by 2′′ photograph which accredits his/her identity.\n(c) Be over 18 years of age.\n(d) Have passed an emergency medical technician, paramedic, or basic course offered by an academic institution accredited by the General Education Council or the Council on Higher Education and based on the national curriculum established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), or by an institution recognized by the corresponding accrediting body with authority therefor and accepted by the Department if such institution is located in any of the states of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, or another foreign country.
