The College shall have the power, as specified in its bylaws, to investigate, motu proprio or by request of a third party by filing a complaint, any actions in the practice of the profession by any of its members which may imply a violation of the code of ethics and the laws governing such a practice. After having given the parties with interest the opportunity to be heard, if the College should find grounds for possibly ruling a conduct to be unethical or illegal, the same shall file the corresponding complaint with the Examining Board. The provisions herein shall not be interpreted as a modification or limitation to the power of the Examining Board to initiate, motu proprio, an investigation or a disciplinary proceeding when deemed pertinent.\nHistory —Apr. 30, 2008, No. 51, § 8.
