The Board may, with the affirmative vote of three (3) of its members, deny, suspend, revoke or cancel a license, upon prior notice and after holding a hearing to such effects, to any person who:\n(a) Tries to obtain a license through fraud or misrepresentation;\n(b) does not meet the requirements established in this chapter to obtain the license;\n(c) illegally practices the profession of geologist in Puerto Rico;\n(d) commits plagiarism in any document in which his/her seal has been stamped;\n(e) has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral depravation;\n(f) has been declared mentally disabled by a competent court, and\n(g) has incurred gross negligence in the discharge of his/her professional duties.\nWhen the Board determines that the denial, suspension or revocation of a license is in order, written notice shall be served to the geologist concerned, by certified mail with acknowledgment of receipt. [If the geologist is not satisfied with the Board’s determination, the Board shall be obligated to grant a hearing in accordance with § 3564 of this title.]\nNo certificate and/or license number issued by the Board shall be transferable and/or exchangeable.\nHistory
